Hi, I’m Caroline Smyth Bickerstaff — wedding planner, stylist and hopeless romantic.

I’ve always been drawn to the creative world. Among my friends and family, I’ve forever been the planner — the one with the vision, the lists, and the love for bringing ideas to life. After marrying my husband, Conor, I realised that wedding planning wasn’t just something I enjoyed; it was my true calling.

While working as a Creative Director in the jewellery industry, I launched The Creative Occasion Co. For a while, I balanced both worlds — designing jewellery by day and planning weddings by night — until August 2023, when I decided to take the leap and follow my heart full-time. It was the best decision I’ve ever made (aside from saying “I do,” of course!).

For me, planning and styling weddings is deeply personal. I pour my heart and soul into every celebration, crafting unique, heartfelt experiences that tell each couple’s story. I take time to truly get to know you — your style, your quirks, your love story — and use that as inspiration to design a wedding that feels unmistakably you.

I love textures, flowers, and all the tiny details that make a day magical — the fragrance that fills the air, the taste of your wedding breakfast, the soundtrack that gets your guests dancing, and the little touches that make everyone feel something special.

I absolutely love what I do and feel so privileged to spend my days meeting incredible couples from all over the world and creating unforgettable celebrations that reflect their love stories perfectly. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing the joy and emotion on my couples’ faces when it all comes together.
